Lifting of COVID-19-related restrictions for entry into Germany

On Saturday, 11 June 2022 all COVID-19-related restrictions for entry into Germany were preliminarily lifted. From that date travel from Pakistan to Germany is permitted for all travel purposes (including tourism and visits). For entry into Germany no proof of vaccination, recovery or testing is required any longer.

Visas are required for entry into Germany and may be applied for with the German Embassy Islamabad and the German Consulate Karachi for all travel purposes. Due do the high demand delays may occur in the issuing of visas.
For German passport applications please write to (Islamabad) or (Karachi).

Please check the current information on entry restrictions, testing and quarantine regulations when entering from areas of Virus variant . If tested prositive during your trip please check relevant information on self-isolation and quarantine regulations.
