The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Islamabad seeks to recruit suitably qualified

Security Guards (male)

to be employed at its security section starting as early as possible

The job description is as follows:

• 1^st contact with visitors (English, Urdu)
• Search of male visitors
• Search of carried items
• Search of cars
• Post and Patrol Duty in the Embassy
• Working in day- and nightshifts
• Handling of safety equipment after training
• Monitoring compliance with fire protection regulations
• Implementation of evacuation and first aid measures

The applicant should possess the following minimum qualifications:

• Experience working in security matters
• Excellent physical health
• Good command of the English language
• Good command of Urdu and preferably knowledge of German, Pashtu and/or Dari

We expect:

• Reliability, commitment and dedication to the job
• A strong sense of responsibility and high degree of alertness
• Willingness to obtain a working knowledge of special equipment used in the security section

The position:

The Embassy is seeking to fill 3 full-time positions with a working time of 41 hours.

Pakistani law will apply to the work contracts. The salary is based on the Embassy’s current salary scheme. Benefits such as medical insurance are offered to employees and their families under certain conditions. The probation period for permanent positions is 6 months.

Within the legal framework applicants with severe disabilities will receive preferential treatment, if they possess the same professional qualifications as their competitors.
