We want to make your arrival in Germany as easy as possible. Here you can find all the information and requirements you need while applying for a visa, along with application forms to download as a pdf-file.

Pakistani citizens have to obtain a visa before entering the so-called "Schengen states":

Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
(Please note: Although Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Cyprus, Ireland and the UK belong to the EU, they are presently not member of the Schengen Agreement).

"Schengen visas" are short-term visas for stays up to 90 days within a period of 180 days. Although visas issued by one of the above mentioned states are valid for all other Schengen states, you need to apply at the embassy or consulate of the country which is your main destination.

Residents of Sindh and Balouchistan need to apply at the Consulate General Karachi.
Residents of the other provinces and areas in Pakistan should apply at the German Embassy Islamabad.

We kindly ask you to use the online application form in order to make your personal appearance in the Embassy as efficient and convenient as possible. The print-out of the online application form includes a barcode on the last page, which you should bring along. The barcode can be used to automatically enter your application details in the Embassy's computer system and will therefore significantly speed up the application process at the counter. The online application form can be found by clicking on this link: https://videx.diplo.de/
